The City of Pittsburgh has provided a permit to The Legion of Mary in order that they may perform their 93rd "International Eucharistic Rosary March" on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
The event will begin with the march formation at Epiphany R.C. Church at the corner of Washington Place and 1018 Centre Avenue. The march will then travel via Centre Avenue, left on Washington Place, right on Fifth Avenue, then right on Smithfield Street and right again on Sixth Avenue with a final left on Centre Avenue to its terminus at Epiphany Church at 1018 Centre Avenue.
The march is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM, continuing until around 3:30 PM. Participation is expected to be in the vicinity of about 200 people.
While event organizers are planning to remain on sidewalks and use pedestrian crossing signals to complete their route, if the attendance is large, Pittsburgh Police may attempt to maintain "rolling closures" for the procession. Buses will need to take standing delays until the procession passes.
Units are to follow the march at a respectable distance, using caution if and when passing and are to take standing and rolling delays as instructed until Pittsburgh Police clear the intersections.Affected Route(s):Route:61A North Braddock 61B Braddock-Swissvale 61C McKeesport-Homestead 71B Highland Park 77 Penn Hills 81 Oak Hill 82 Lincoln 83 Bedford Hill P1 East Busway-All Stops P68 Braddock Hills Flyer G2 West BuswayStops:None Affected
