TOD Zoning Best Practices
In 2017, with funding from the Richard King Mellon Foundation, we partnered with the Congress of Neighboring Communities (CONNECT) at the University of Pittsburgh to bring TOD expertise to 10 municipalities that host the greatest opportunities for TOD: Baldwin Township, Bethel Park, Carnegie, Castle Shannon, Crafton, Dormont, Ingram, Mount Lebanon, Swissvale, and Wilkinsburg.
The below TOD Resources Report includes two sections: a TOD Best Practices Guide, and a TOD Toolbox — building on our TOD Guidlines. It covers a variety of subjects, and recommends action items for achieving TOD-friendly zoning.
