Investments in Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) enable PRT to generate ridership from new transit-adjacent buildings, earn revenue from its real estate, and deliver equitable and sustainable development throughout the county. PRT serves as a sponsor for TOD projects on our property through joint development, a stakeholder in development occurring near stations, and an advocate for smart growth throughout Allegheny County. PRT typically identifies TOD opportunities through its Station Improvement and Corridor Planning Programs.
