PRT to Hold Public Meeting on Carnegie Station Improvements
PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Regional Transit will host a virtual public meeting early next month to provide updates on the planned improvements to Carnegie Station and nearby Park and Ride lot.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. on Microsoft Teams.
PRT representatives will be available throughout the meeting to share information and address public comments and concerns regarding the project, which has now reached 90% design.
Located at the terminus of the West Busway in Carnegie Borough, the project aims to modernize the existing station to improve transit operations, passenger accessibility, and the overall rider experience.
These improvements include enhancing safe and accessible boarding for paratransit services, upgrading operator amenities, and revitalizing the station area to create a more efficient hub for the region.
Community members are encouraged to attend the virtual meeting, learn more about the proposed improvements, and provide feedback as the project moves forward.
