New Kensignton Bridge Closure

PennDOT will be closing the New Kensington Bridge for repairs for six weeks beginning Monday, July 24.

The closure of the bridge will prevent the 1-Freeport Road from serving four inbound and four outbound bus stops in New Kensington:

4th Ave at Center City Plaza (Stop #12658)

4th Ave at 7th Street (Stop #12659)

7th St opp New Ken Hospital (Stop $12660)

Industrial Blvd at Key Lincoln-Mercury (Stop #12661)

The 1-Freeport Road will serve the Tarentum Park and Ride (4th at Ross), as will a free shuttle provided by PennDOT from New Kensington to the Tarentum Park and Ride to help maintain a connection for transit riders.

The shuttle will serve New Kensington Center City Plaza, the Tarentum Park and Ride, and Citizens Plaza Apartments.
