PRT adjusts schedules three times a year. These changes will go into effect on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Please look closely at the changes below, as service has been adjusted on some routes based on current ridership and to improve reliability.

1-Freeport Road – The weekday 4:46 p.m. outbound trip will leave Penn Station two minutes later, at 4:48 p.m. The weekday 6:31 p.m. inbound trip will leave Tarentum Park and Ride two minutes later, at 6:33 p.m. 

2-Mount Royal – Weekday schedules have been modified to improve on-time performance.  

4-Troy Hill – Weekday and weekend schedules have been modified to improve on-time performance. 

6-Spring Hill – The weekday 5:08 p.m. inbound trip will leave Colby Street at Faber Street one minute earlier, at 5:07 p.m. 

8-Perrysville – The weekday 3:04 p.m. inbound trip will leave West View Plaza one minute later, at 3:05 p.m. The weekday 3:44 p.m. outbound trip will leave 7th Street at Penn Avenue one minute later, at 3:45 p.m. 

11-Fineview – Weekday schedules have been modified to improve on-time performance.  

13-Bellevue – Weekday and weekend schedules have been modified to improve on-time performance.  

14-Ohio Valley – The weekday 3:12 p.m. inbound trip will leave Ambridge Park and Ride four minutes later, at 3:16 p.m. The weekday 4:26 p.m. outbound trip will leave Allegheny Station four minutes earlier, at 4:22 p.m. 

15-Charles – The weekday 4:35 p.m. outbound trip will leave Penn Station Stop C one minute earlier, at 4:34 p.m. 

16-Brighton – Weekday schedules have been modified to improve on-time performance. 

18-Manchester – The weekday 4:31 p.m. outbound trip will leave Allegheny Station two minutes earlier, at 4:29 p.m. The weekday 4:45 p.m. inbound trip will leave Island Avenue at Beaver Avenue two minutes earlier, at 4:43 p.m. 

19L-Emsworth – The weekday 4:21 p.m. inbound trip will leave Penn Station Stop C one minute earlier, at 4:20 p.m.  

24-West Park – The weekday 1:45 p.m., 3:42 p.m. and 5:47 p.m. outbound trips will leave Stanwix Street past Penn Avenue one minute earlier, at 1:44 p.m., 3:43 p.m., and 5:48 p.m. 

29-Robinson – Weekday schedules have been modified to improve peak frequency for riders and on-time performance. 

  • Early AM - Frequency will be increased from 50 minutes to 32 minutes. 
  • AM Peak - Frequency will be modified from 25-50 minutes to 30 minutes. 
  • Midday - Frequency will be reduced from 50 minutes to 52 minutes. 
  • PM Peak - Frequency will be increased from 50 minutes to 34 minutes. 

 

31-Bridgeville – The final trip of the day to Washington Avenue opposite James Street will end at 11:32 p.m. instead of 11:46 p.m. Weekday and weekend schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. 

  • AM Peak - Frequency will increase from 38 minutes to 32 minutes. 
  • PM Peak - Frequency will increase from 38 minutes to 34 minutes. 
  • Evening and Late PM - Frequency will be reduced from 38 minutes to 50 minutes. 

 

38-Greentree –The final trip of the day to Chartiers Valley Shopping Center will end at 10:33 p.m. instead of 10:59 p.m. Weekday and weekend schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. 

  • Early AM and AM Peak - Frequency will increase from 35 minutes to 32 minutes. 
  • PM Peak - Frequency will be modified from 30-40 minutes to 32 minutes. 
  • Evening and Late PM – Frequency will be reduced from 35 minutes to 50 minutes. 

 

39-Brookline – Outbound service along Smithfield Street will be discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. Some weekday and weekend schedules have changed. 

40-Mount Washington – Outbound service along Smithfield Street will be discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. Some weekday and weekend schedules have changed. The first weekday trip from Duquesne Heights will start at 5:46 a.m. instead of 6 a.m. The first Saturday trip from Duquesne Heights will start at 6:25 a.m. instead of 6 a.m. The final Sunday trip to Penn Station will end at 11:59 p.m. instead of 10:43 p.m. 

Weekday frequency has been modified: 

  • Early AM and AM Peak - Increased from 40 minutes to 30 minutes. 
  • Midday - Reduced from 40 minutes to 60 minutes. 
  • PM Peak - Increased from 40 minutes to 30 minutes. 
  • Evening and Late PM - Reduced from 40 minutes to 60 minutes. 
  • Saturdays - Increased from 80 minutes to 60 minutes all day. 

 

41-Bower Hill – Outbound service along Smithfield Street will be discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. Some weekday and weekend schedules have changed. 

43-Bailey – Outbound service along Smithfield Street will be discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. Service will be extended to Penn Station. Some weekday and weekend schedules will change. The final weekday trip to South Hills Junction will end at 12:03 a.m. instead of 11:50 p.m. The first Saturday trip from South Hills Junction will start at 6:10 a.m. instead of 6:22 a.m. The first Sunday trip from South Hills Junction will start at 6:15 a.m. instead of 7:08 a.m. Sunday frequency will be reduced from 60 minutes to 80 minutes all day. 

44-Knoxville – Outbound service along Smithfield Street will be discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. Some weekday and weekend schedules will change. The final weekday trip to Churchview Garden Apartments will end at 12:01 a.m. instead of 11:50 p.m. The first Saturday trip from St. Clair will start at 6:45 a.m. instead of 6:15 a.m. The final Saturday trip from St. Clair will end at 11:45 p.m. instead of 11:15 p.m. 

Weekday frequency has changed: 

  • Early AM and AM Peak - Increased from 35 minutes to 30 minutes. 
  • Midday - Frequency will remain at 60 minutes. 
  • PM Peak - Increased from 35 minutes to 30 minutes. 

Saturday frequency will remain at 60 minutes all day. 

48-Arlington - Outbound service along Smithfield Street has been discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. Some weekday and weekend schedules will change. 

51-Carrick – Outbound service along Smithfield Street has been discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. 

52L-Homeville Limited – The weekday 3:20 p.m. outbound trip will leave from Second Avenue opposite Municipal Courts one minute earlier, at 3:19 p.m. 

53-Homestead Park – Weekend schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. There will be modified routing through the Waterfront based on the new stop locations around Giant Eagle, which have been on detour routing since July.

55-Glassport – The weekday 2:46 p.m. inbound trip will leave Noble Drive near Lebanon Road three minutes later, at 2:49 p.m. The 4:45 p.m. weekday outbound trip will leave North Versailles Walmart five minutes earlier, at 4:40 p.m. 

57-Hazelwood – Some weekday and weekend schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. There will be modified routing through the Waterfront based on new stop locations around Giant Eagle, which have been detoured since July. 

59-Mon Valley – Some daily schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. There will be modified routing through the Waterfront based on new stop locations around Giant Eagle which have been on detour routing since July. The first weekday trip from North Versailles Walmart will start at 4:25 a.m. instead of 4:10 a.m. 

Weekday frequency has changed: 

  • Early AM through evening - Modified from 38-44 minutes to 40 minutes. 
  • Late PM - Modified from 57-66 minutes to 60 minutes. 

Saturday frequency will be standardized from 51-77 minutes to 60 minutes. 

60-McKeesport-Walnut – Some daily schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. 

61D-Murray Short – Routing will be modified through The Waterfront based on new stop locations around Giant Eagle. 

64-Lawrenceville–Waterfront – Routing will be modified through The Waterfront based on new stop locations around Giant Eagle. 

67-Monroeville – The weekday 2:48 p.m. inbound trip will leave CCAC Boyce two minutes later, at 2:50 p.m. 

69-Trafford – The weekday 3:06 p.m. inbound trip will leave Forbes Hospital four minutes later, at 3:10 p.m. 

81-Oak Hill – The 3:58 p.m. weekday inbound trip will leave Wharton Square one minute later, at 3:59 p.m. The 4:50 p.m. weekday outbound trip will leave Wood Street at Sixth Avenue one minute later, at 4:51 p.m. 

88-Penn – Weekday and weekend outbound trips will serve Friendship Avenue between S. Winebiddle Street and Roup Avenue due to the closure of Penn Avenue outbound due to a City of Pittsburgh Department of Mobility and Infrastructure project. 

G2-West Busway – A late evening round trip will be added to the schedule to increase the span of service. The additional round trip will arrive and depart from Ross Street PRTX Station at 11:39 p.m. The final trip to Carnegie Station will end at 12:02 a.m. instead of 11:39 p.m. 

G3-Moon Flyer – Some weekday trip times will change. 

O1-Ross Flyer – Weekday schedules will be modified to accommodate a service extension to Penn Station. 

O5-Thompson Run Flyer – Weekday schedules will be modified to accommodate a service extension to Penn Station. 

O12-McKnight Flyer – Weekday schedules will be modified to accommodate a service extension to Penn Station. Morning peak outbound and evening peak inbound trips serving Perry Highway and CCAC North will be discontinued. One morning peak inbound trip and one evening peak outbound trip will be added to the schedule. 

P7-McKeesport Flyer – Weekday schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. 

P12-Holiday Park Flyer – One morning peak inbound trip and one evening peak outbound trip will be added to the schedule to alleviate overcrowding. 

P13-Mount Royal Flyer – The weekday schedule will be modified to reflect a service extension to Penn Station. 

P16-Penn Hills Flyer – The 4:55 p.m. outbound trip will leave Penn Station Stop C two minutes later, at 4:57 p.m. 

P67-Monroeville Flyer – The 5:16 p.m. outbound trip will leave Penn Station Stop C two minutes later, at 5:18 p.m. 

P68-Braddock Hills Flyer – The weekday 4:40 p.m. outbound trip will leave Liberty Avenue near 10th Street two minutes later, at 4:42 p.m. 

P71-Swissvale Flyer – The 4:20 p.m. and 5:56 p.m. outbound trips will now leave Liberty Avenue near 10th Street at 4:21 p.m. and 5:57 p.m. The 5:21 p.m. inbound trip will now leave Swissvale Station at 5:22 p.m. 

P76-Lincoln Highway Flyer – The schedule will be modified to improve on-time performance. 

P78-Oakmont Flyer – The 5:20 p.m. outbound trip will now leave Liberty Avenue near Wyndham Grand two minutes later, at 5:22 p.m. 

Y1-Large Flyer – Weekday schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. 

Y45-Baldwin Manor Flyer – Weekday schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. 

Y46-Elizabeth Flyer – Outbound service along Smithfield Street will be discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. Weekday and weekend schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. The final weekday trip to Elizabeth Park and Ride will end at 12:16 a.m. instead of 12:34 a.m. 

Weekday frequency has changed: 

  • Early AM -Modified from 40-49 minutes to 45 minutes. 
  • AM Peak - Modified from 40-54 minutes to 36 minutes. 
  • Midday - Modified from 37-44 minutes to 50 minutes. 
  • PM Peak - Modified from 43-50 minutes to 40 minutes. 
  • Evening -Modified from 48-55 minutes to 47 minutes. 
  • Late PM - Modified from 59–76 minutes to 62 minutes. 

Sunday frequency has changed from 68-82 minutes to 70 minutes. 

Y47-Curry Flyer – Outbound service along Smithfield Street will be discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project.  Weekday and weekend schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. 

Weekday frequency has changed: 

  • Early AM and AM Peak - Modified from 52-59 minutes to 58 minutes. 
  • Midday - Modified from 54-62 minutes to 57 minutes. 
  • PM Peak - Modified from 55-58 minutes to 60 minutes. 
  • Evening - Decreased from 60 minutes to 64 minutes. 
  • Late PM - Increased from 60 minutes to 59 minutes. 

Saturday frequency has changed from 60 minutes to 54-64 minutes. 

Y49-Prospect Flyer – Outbound service along Smithfield Street will be discontinued up to Boulevard of the Allies. Outbound trips will serve Wood Street between Liberty Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies, with stops at Sixth Avenue (Wood Street T Station), Fifth Avenue, and Third Avenue, due to the City of Pittsburgh’s Reimagine Smithfield project. Weekday and weekend schedules will be modified to improve on-time performance. The final weekday trip to Century Square will end at 12:11 a.m. instead of 11:51 p.m. The first trip of Saturday service from Century Square will start at 6:08 a.m. instead of 5:26 a.m. Weekday frequency has changed: 

  • Early AM - Increased from 56 minutes to 55 minutes. 
  • AM Peak - Modified from 54-62 minutes to 60 minutes. 
  • Midday - Modified from 56-63 minutes to 60 minutes. 
  • PM Peak - Increased from 63 minutes to 60 minutes. 
  • Evening - Modified from 55-67 minutes to 65 minutes. 
  • Late PM - Modified from 55-63 minutes to 60 minutes. 

Saturday frequency has changed: 

  • Early AM through evening -Modified from 66-70 minutes to 60 minutes. 
  • Late PM - Modified from 68-71 minutes to 65 minutes. 

Sunday frequency will be modified from 58-70 minutes to 60 minutes.
