PRT adjusts schedules three times a year. These changes will go into effect on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Please look closely at the changes below, as service has been adjusted on some routes based on current ridership and to improve reliability.

ROUTING CHANGES
Buses that serve the Waterfront will again have bus stops on the property built into the schedules. Some daily trip times have also changed for the below routes:
- 53-Homestead Park
- 53L-Homestead Park Limited
- 57-Hazelwood
- 59-Mon Valley
- 61D-Murray Short – Some daily trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.
- 64-Lawrenceville-Waterfront
54-North Side-Oakland-South Side – The Herron Avenue Bridge detour ended in September, and the route was on detour over the bridge, and will now return to regular routing using the bridge. New inbound variants have also been added to adjust for the Forbes Avenue detour detailed below.
55-Glassport – Routing has changed, and some stops will not be served due to the shifting of Camp Hollow Road in West Mifflin because of the Mon Fayette Expressway. Some daily trip times have changed.
FIFTH AVENUE CONTRAFLOW
The contraflow bus lane on Fifth Avenue in Oakland was removed in January to allow contractors to build a new bi-directional bike lane on Fifth Avenue as part of PRT’s University Line bus rapid transit project. The nine bus routes that traveled outbound in the bus lane on Fifth Avenue shifted over to Forbes Avenue. The new routing will now be built into the schedules for:
- 54-North Side-Oakland-South Side
- 61D-Murray Short
- 71A-Negley Short – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency. Sunday frequency has decreased from 28-39 minutes to 45/30/45 minutes.
- 71B-Highland Park - Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency.
- 71C-Point Breeze Short – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency. Sunday frequency has decreased from every 35/30/35 minutes to every 45/30/45 minutes.
- 71D-Hamilton Short – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency. Sunday frequency has decreased from every 35/30/35 minutes to every 45/30/45 minutes.
- 75-Ellsworth – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency. Saturday frequency has increased from every 41-45 minutes to every 40 minutes.
- 93-Lawrenceville-Hazlewood – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
- P3-East Busway-Oakland – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency. New weekday outbound short trips to East Liberty Station have been added during morning peak hours.
ADDITIONAL CHANGES:
1-Freeport Road – Some weekday and Saturday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency and on-time performance.
2-Mount Royal –Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
6-Spring Hill – All weekday trips have shifted to 5 minutes later. Weekday morning frequency decreased from 25 to 30 minutes, midday frequency decreased from 40 to 45 minutes, and evening frequency decreased from 40 to 45 minutes. Saturday morning frequency increased from 38 to 30 minutes, midday frequency increased from 38 to 30 minutes, and evening frequency decreased from 38 to 40 minutes. Sunday frequency decreased from 38 to 40 minutes all day. These changes were made to improve scheduling efficiency and on-time performance.
8-Perrysville – Some daily trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
11-Fineview – Some Saturday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
14-Ohio Valley – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
15-Charles – All weekday trips have shifted to 5 minutes later. Weekday morning frequency decreased from 25 to 30 minutes, midday frequency decreased from 40 to 45 minutes, and evening frequency decreased from 40 to 45 minutes. Saturday morning frequency increased from 38 to 30 minutes, midday frequency increased from 38 to 30 minutes, and evening frequency decreased from 38 to 40 minutes. Sunday frequency decreased from 38 to 40 minutes all day. These changes were made to improve scheduling efficiency and on-time performance.
16-Brighton – Some daily trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.
17-Shadeland – Some daily trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency and on-time performance. Weekday evening frequency decreased from 52 to 55 minutes. All Saturday and Sunday trip times have shifted by 4 minutes. Sunday frequency is now 50 minutes all day.
18-Manchester – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
19L-Emsworth Limited – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
20-Kennedy – Some daily trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency and on-time performance.
22-McCoy – Some daily trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency and on-time performance. Sunday frequency is now 65 minutes all day.
24-West Park – Some daily trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency and on-time performance.
26-Chartiers – Some daily trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency and on-time performance.
27-Fairywood – Some daily trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency and on-time performance.
28X-Airport Flyer – Some daily trip times have changed to increase operational efficiency. Sunday frequency has increased from every 36 minutes to every 35 minutes.
29-Robinson – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve on time performance.
31-Bridgeville – Some daily trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency and on-time performance. Weekday frequency is now 38 minutes all day. Sunday frequency decreased from 70 to 75 minutes.
36-Banksville – Some weekend trip times have changed, and frequency has decreased from 80 to 90 minutes to increase scheduling efficiency and improve on-time performance.
44-Knoxville – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
51-Carrick – Some weekday evening trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
51L - Carrick Limited - Some weekday morning trip times have been changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
52L - Homeville Limited - Some weekday morning trip times have been changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
58-Greenfield – Some daily trip times have changed to increase operational efficiency.

74-Homewood-Squirrel Hill – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency.
77-Penn Hills – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency. Weekday frequency has been adjusted to 45 minutes all day. Weekend frequency has been changed from 55-75 minutes to every 60 minutes.
79-East Hills – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency.
81-Oak Hill – One inbound and one outbound trip have been added to the late evening service on weekdays. Some daily trip times have changed during the late evening.
82-Lincoln – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency. Weekday frequency in the early morning and late evening has been decreased from 28 minutes to every 30 minutes. Sunday frequency has been adjusted to 30 minutes all day.
83-Bedford Hill – Some weekday evening trip times have changed to improve on-time performance.
86-Liberty – Some daily trip times have changed to increase operational efficiency. Weekday frequency has been adjusted to 30 minutes during peak hours and 40 minutes during off-peak hours.
87-Friendship – Some daily trip times have changed to increase operational efficiency.
88-Penn – Some daily trip times have changed to increase operational efficiency. Weekday frequency in the early morning and late evening had been adjusted to every 45 minutes; morning and evening peak hours have been adjusted to every 30 minutes; and midday frequency has been adjusted to every 35 minutes.
89-Garfield Commons – Some weekday trip times have changed.
91-Butler Street – Some weekday and Saturday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
G2-West Busway – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
O1-Ross Flyer – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
O5-Thompson Run Flyer – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
O12-McKnight Flyer – Some weekday trip times have changed to increase scheduling efficiency.
P1-East Busway All Stops – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency.

P68-Braddock Hills Flyer – Some daily trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency. Saturday routing has been revised to match Sunday service, and it will not serve the Monroeville VA clinic as it is closed on weekends.
P78-Oakmont Flyer – Some weekday trip times have changed to improve operational efficiency.
RAIL
Silver – Some daily trip times have changed between Library Station and Washington Junction to increase performance.
